This amp delivers that tone, but much more. Nowadays I play at low volume, typically along with classic rock albums. This amp makes it really easy to dial in any tone I like, be it Rock Around the Clock, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, Van Halen. It blends with records like no amp Ive had before which is something I didnt even realize I was missing. An interesting thing Im finding is that after playing this amp for a couple of months, I can now identify the tonal characteristics of particular guitar sounds on recordings, which is kind of fun like how much gain they have, how theyre using bass, mid range, treble and presence, and even what vintage amp. I really like this amps Resonance control because it produces the woof kind of attack you get with a big speaker cabinet, like I had with my old Marshall. Also, this amps touch sensitivity completely rocks. Regarding the speaker, I thought it sounded good. But I replaced it with a Celestion G1. M 6. 5 Creamback because I read it was the way to get the best out of this amp. I can personally vouch that its a great sounding combination.
